Road trip!

We did it! The girls went on their first car trip to Memphis and it was successful! They were great in the car and we only stopped twice each way. Lucas did great for my sister as well.

We headed to Memphis over Memorial Day weekend to visit family and celebrate Aunt Nina's 90th birthday. We got to spend time with family that we do not get to see very often. It was so much fun! The day of the birthday party was a bit over whelming for the girls but we spent several hours eating and catching up. Hopefully we can do it again so once the girls are a little older.

The neatest thing we saw was a street named with the girl's birth date! How cool is that?! Pictures are below of the girls in their party dress and the street sign.

Early Valentine's Day and a little early birthday too!

Mike and I both have bad habits of not being able to keep gifts either a secret or wrapped until the designated day! We ALWAYS open stuff early. We made no exception for Valentine's Day and his birthday. We opened all gift earlier this week! The girls gave daddy all his presents which included a new shirt (because they always puke on his), some cologne (so he doesn't smell like baby poo), and a sweet new coffee maker (for all those nights they keep him up)! These gifts were a mix of birthday and valentine's.

I got an awesome new Kate Spade handbag (and wine and flowers) as a valentine. I LOVE designer bags but don't buy then but maybe once a year or once every couple years. With the past couple years being so baby focused I had not splurged on a bag...and let me just say, after the year I had...this one is well deserved!

On Mike's birthday we will be going out to celebrate with friends and family. We enjoyed our little gift exchange until about half way through when the girls started screaming. Maybe they realized that there weren't any gifts for them....

Uncle Bill's Birthday and Marley Visits the Pediatrician

With Marley finally home from the NICU, uncle Bill decided it was time to celebrate his birthday (11/12).  He even agreed to do something casual at home so the girls could attend.  See the pictures below.

Pediatrician Update:

Marley now weighs 3lb 15oz (that's 6oz since Friday when she left the NICU!) and she has stretched out to 17 1/4 inches (that's 3/4 of an inch since birth).

Tubby Brooklyn now tips the scales at 5lb 6oz!

Everyone is healthy and happy.  Marley will go back in a week for another weight check and then they both get another round of immunization shots the second week of December.
