It's been awhile...

We try to post on the blog weekly but with our recent trip to New Orleans, we have not had a minute to spare! We have had a busy April and May is totally booked too! Finally, today I took a few pictures and wanted to share! Enjoy!

Easter Sunday

Easter was a whirlwind of a day! Boy, are we all tired! Today was the first time the girls wore a dress, and I do have to say, they looked absolutely adorable. The whole family dressed up in green and yellow so we could get some family photos at church. I never even match my twins but I made the whole family coordinate! Turned out nice.

The girls got a couple of Easter baskets. One from Gigi and Grandpa - it had an outfit, books and a toy! Auntie Carol gave them very special books with their real names included in the stories, very cute. No chocolate bunnies or egg hunting this year but I am sure there is many more years of those activities to come! We didn't get to see Grams and Papa Stuart because Papa is in Oman (I think). He will be seeing the girls Easter dresses through pictures :( But daddy said that Papa emailed and said that the Easter bunny had hidden eggs for them at their house! Yay!!!!!

5 months!

We are now 5 months old! Mommy took us to our doctor appointment yesterday and we are getting so big! Brooklyn weighs 12lbs 10.5oz and is 24 in long. Marley has finally hit the double digits at 10lbs 6.5oz and 23.5 in long. We are doing great developmentally and are right on track. We also get to eat peas and carrots and bananas now! Yum! In one more month we can switch to regular formula and Mommy won't have to search the city for the preemie formula anymore. We also had to get shots, which was not fun. We cried until we got home. It made Mommy super sad.

Next week Mommy and Daddy are going to New Orleans (if Mommy can leave us) on vacation with some friends and we get to stay with our grandparents and great auntie! We will miss them, but they are going to have lots of fun and celebrate their 5 year anniversary.

Opening Day 2009

The weather went from 75 to 40 overnight and the girls couldn't go to the game with Mom and Dad but they still got in the spirit of things.

Landen's 1st Birthday

The girl's cousin, Landen, celebrated his first birthday this weekend! He is such a big boy! He got lots of presents and ran all over my mom's house non-stop for several hours. The cake eating was not all that exciting. He dabbled in it a bit but he kind of freaked out that his hands were messy! Here's to hoping that Lucas or the girls really dig into their cakes and give us a show! Valerie and David did have to spray him off int he sink so he got messy enough!

Easter Bunny

Just like Santa, the Easter Bunny did not impress Brooklyn and Marley. The Easter Bunny was at a twins club event where there were about 1000 sets of twins running around screaming as well. The girls were more interested in all the ruckus around them. At least we didn't have to pay $50 for these pictures like we did for the creepy mall Santa pictures we had taken :)

Lucas, on the other hand, went to the mall Easter Bunny and had some really cute pictures taken!

Later that day the cousins hung out on Papa and Gigi's swing with their shades on!

Dying Easter Eggs!

Well, we tried to dye Easter eggs with the girls. Brooklyn fell asleep and Marley was fussy. Mike and I enjoyed writing funny messages with the wax crayon at least! Maybe next year will be a little more fun! Stay tuned....the girls first trip to visit the Easter Bunny is this weekend.

Great Grandma's Birthday

My sister and I took the kids to see our grandmother for her birthday. Grandma Koepke has dementia but is with us sometimes. We had a pretty good day and she loved holding and feeding "Marley Joan"! When we named Marley she decided she didn't like Ryan as her middle name and thought that she needed to have her first name instead! Too funny. Marley will always be Marley Joan to her!
